About Us

Dave Osborn

Dave Osborn retired in December 2022 as the Chief Executive Officer of the VTX1 Companies, based in Raymondville, Texas. He is now a published author of two children’s books about his rescue dog, Piper, which have been published in multiple formats and languages, as well as a book on business leadership. A third children’s book about Piper is in development, as is his first fiction novel, a geopolitical thriller. Both new books are planned for publication in mid-to-late 2025. Mr. Osborn’s publications may be accessed through his author website at www.dave-osborn.com.

Mr. Osborn is a former Board Member and vice president of the Harlingen Country Club and is currently a member of the Texas Board of the American Dog Society. He is also a former Board Member of several industry boards during his professional career. Mr. Osborn received recognition for his leadership and achievements throughout his 50+ year professional career, including the Texas Telephone Association’s prestigious Neville Haynes Award in 2013 and 2022, as well as the National Telephone Cooperative Association’s Telecom Executive Certificate.
